Los Juegos Olímpicos de París (2024). Transformaciones urbanas e imagen ciudadana

Resumen: RESUMEN
Los Juegos Olímpicos van intrínsecamente unidos a las transformaciones urbanísticas de la ciudad que los organiza. La ciudad de París se ve especialmente ligada a los Juegos Olímpicos históricamente, tanto por previas ediciones organizadas en ella como por el propio surgimiento de los Juegos Olímpicos de la modernidad y del Comité Olímpico Internacional de la mano del francés Pierre de Coubertin.
Además, de cara a los Juegos del año 2024, París busca crear una imagen sostenible y moderna hacia el mundo, Por un lado, muestra su capacidad de reutilizar instalaciones previas y crear otras de forma efímera. Y por otro, su conciencia a la hora de crear nuevas construcciones, utilizándolas como regeneradoras de los barrios de la Plaine Commune y planteando que tengan un funcionamiento a posteriori.
Sin embargo, aunque las transformaciones urbanísticas se plantean como algo inherentemente positivo para la ciudad y el barrio donde se realizan, no deben ignorarse puntos negativos del plan que ya son visibles.
ABSTRACT
The Olympic Games are intrinsically linked to the urban transformations of the city that hosts them. The city of Paris is particularly linked to the Olympic Games historically, both because of previous editions organised there and because of the emergence of the modern Olympic Games and the International Olympic Committee under the Frenchman Pierre de Coubertin.
Moreover, with a view to the 2024 Games, Paris is seeking to create a sustainable and modern image for the world. On the one hand, it shows its ability to reuse previous installations and create new ones in an ephemeral way. On the other hand, it shows its awareness when it comes to creating new constructions, using them to regenerate the Plaine Commune neighbourhoods, and proposing how they should function afterwards.
However, although the urban transformations are presented as inherently positive for the city and the neighbourhood in which they are carried out, the negative points of the plan, which are already visible, should not be ignored.
