Notas: The proportion of people over 60 is increasing in recent times so it is necessary to promote healthy lifestyle, developing functional capacity, and identify and strengthen those skills and / or abilities which can maximize, to achieve the highest level of welfare of the elderly. The objective of this study is to determine whether there are benefits in the lives of the elderly who perform a recreational activity from the perspective nurse. With the qualitative through the nominal group technique analyzed by the fundamental theory study results reported by the participants of the Star partnership as benefits are: Work, work with premature babies, happiness, meet Star, meet important and wonderful things, the companionship, a happy life, entertainment, company, entertaining, keep moving and see my family. Reducing social isolation and improving personal satisfaction, by optimizing the quality of life of older people. The nurse fosters personal relationships of the elderly group from recreational associations, improving social support and active participation of older people.
