Son cuatro los elementos fundamentales sobre los que se detiene: 1) la institución parlamentaria y la democracia representativa, 2) el derecho de participación en los asuntos públicos, 3) la conformación de la opinión pública y 4) la libertad de información y, en relación con ella, los derechos recogidos en el artículo 18.1. de la Constitución española. Todo ello se lleva a cabo queriendo plantear una reflexión general, sin conclusiones cerradas, y presentando un repaso a la bibliografía acerca de los distintos temas. This article reflects on some of the elements of the Spanish democratic State that have undergone or are undergoing transformations, due to the impact of the Internet. There are four fundamental elements: 1) the Parliament and representative democracy; 2) the right of participation in public affairs; 3) the formation of public opinion; and 4) the freedom of information and the rights of Article 18.1 of the Spanish Constitution.
