The last decades have witnessed a steep increase in the use of information applications for improving the training of teachers. In this line of work, the current approach proposes to use agent-based simulation for supporting the training of teachers. The current work focuses on the capability of teachers in designing appropriate teaching strategies with the corresponding schedules of learning activities. In particular, the current approach uses FTS-SOCI (an agent-based Framework for simulating Teaching Strategies with evolutions of Sociograms) for simulating the social repercussions of certain teaching strategies. Teachers can pursue obtaining groups with high cohesion, which is normally related with a high academic performance. This article illustrates the current approach with the training of a computer science teacher for the programming subject. 000062085 536__ $$9info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MEC/CAS16-00075$$9info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO/TEC2013-50049-EXP 000062085 540__ $$9info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess$$aAll rights reserved$$uhttp://www.europeana.eu/rights/rr-f/ 000062085 655_4 $$ainfo:eu-repo/semantics/article$$vinfo:eu-repo/semantics/acceptedVersion 000062085 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0001-7550-6688$$aPlaza, Inmaculada$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000062085 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0002-1561-0536$$aIgual, Raúl$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000062085 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0003-3492-7544$$aLombas, Andrés S.$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000062085 7102_ $$15009$$2535$$aUniversidad de Zaragoza$$bDepartamento de Ingeniería Eléctrica$$cIngeniería Eléctrica 000062085 7102_ $$15008$$2785$$aUniversidad de Zaragoza$$bDepartamento de Ingeniería Electrónica y Comunicaciones$$cTecnología Electrónica 000062085 7102_ $$15007$$2570$$aUniversidad de Zaragoza$$bDepartamento de Informática e Ingeniería de Sistemas$$cLenguajes y Sistemas Informáticos 000062085 7102_ $$14009$$2620$$aUniversidad de Zaragoza$$bDepartamento de Psicología y Sociología$$cMetod. de las Ciencias del Comportamiento 000062085 773__ $$g2 (2016), 66-77$$tLectures on Modelling and Simulation$$x1961-5086 000062085 85641 $$uhttps://www.researchgate.net/publication/318093655_Towards_Agent-Based_Simulation_Support_for_Training_Teachers$$zTexto completo de la revista 000062085 8564_ $$s610156$$uhttps://zaguan.unizar.es/record/62085/files/texto_completo.pdf$$yPostprint 000062085 8564_ $$s46328$$uhttps://zaguan.unizar.es/record/62085/files/texto_completo.jpg?subformat=icon$$xicon$$yPostprint 000062085 909CO $$ooai:zaguan.unizar.es:62085$$particulos$$pdriver 000062085 951__ $$a2017-09-11-14:33:04 000062085 980__ $$aARTICLE
