Arte africano contemporáneo en educación plástica

Resumen: En este artículo presentamos una propuesta didáctica para trabajar el arte contemporáneo africano en las aulas, a partir de su propia lectura de la historia y los problemas socio-políticos derivados de la misma. Los artistas africanos conciben el arte desde el compromiso que exige lecturas críticas de sociedades globalizadas en constante cambio e hibridación. La propuesta didáctica se basa en el trabajo de Monsengwo Kejwamfi, la pintura Ndebele, Bodys Isek kingelez, Cyrus Kabiru y Romuald Hazoumé, que muestra a África metida de pleno en la historia contemporánea para enfrentarnos a la necesidad de establecer un diálogo entre culturas que nos permita comprendernos en términos artisticos.
In this article, we present a didactic proposal to introduce contemporary African art in the classroom, defending its own particular reading of history and of the socio-political problems derived from it. Contemporary African art manifestations offer us a compromised view of the reality of the continent and the world. This paper presents five different didactic proposals to work with contemporary African art in the classroom and revolving around the works of Monsengwo Kejwamf and the paintings by Ndebele, Bodys Isek kingelez, Cyrus Kabiru y Romuald Hazoumé. Finally, we suggest a didactic development so that, through art, a dialogue can be established between cultures as different as the African and Western ones.
