Moreover, the paper tries to deal with these limitations by presenting a new and more appropriate methodology: quantile regressions. The results obtained with this specification support the view that, even among the OECD countries, there are different clusters. The parameter representing the convergence hypothesis, despite being negative in every case, is higher in value and more significant as we advance to higher quantiles. These outcomes reveal a faster convergence between the countries that belong to the upper quantiles. Moreover, 1960-1970 is highlighted as the period in which convergence was more intense. 000060996 536__ $$9info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MICYT/ECON2008-03040$$9info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MICYT/ECO2011-30260-C03-02 000060996 540__ $$9info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess$$aby$$uhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/es/ 000060996 590__ $$a0.545$$b2017 000060996 591__ $$aECONOMICS$$b286 / 353 = 0.81$$c2017$$dQ4$$eT3 000060996 592__ $$a0.256$$b2017 000060996 593__ $$aEconomics, Econometrics and Finance (miscellaneous)$$c2017$$dQ2 000060996 655_4 $$ainfo:eu-repo/semantics/article$$vinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion 000060996 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0001-7448-2346$$aSanz Villarroya, I.$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000060996 7102_ $$14008$$2225$$aUniversidad de Zaragoza$$bDpto.
